02 / 05 Data analytics & forecasting
Understand what happened. Prepare for what comes next.
A company’s data can reveal patterns that are hard to see in day-to-day operations. We bring that information together and analyse it to clarify business performance, track change and support decisions on demand, pricing and operations.
In short
Simia Tech builds forecasting models and analysis tools for companies: forecasts of demand, prices and other planning variables, performance analysis and scenarios. Every forecast shows the factors behind it and the uncertainty around it.
- Who it is for
- Management, planning, purchasing and sales teams that need to anticipate demand, prices or operations.
- What we deliver
- Analyses, forecasting models, scenarios and monitoring tools with clear indicators.
- Real example
- Rawdar, our own platform: machine-learning price forecasts up to 6 months ahead, with 50% and 80% confidence bands.

Process
How we work
- 01
The decision
We start from the decision the company needs to make.
- 02
The data
We identify the data available, assess its quality and choose methods that fit the problem.
- 03
The model
We develop analyses or forecasting models and agree with your team how to interpret and track the results.
A forecast is most useful when you also know its limits. That is why we show the factors that drive it and the uncertainty around it.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What data do you need for a forecast?
We start from the data the company already has — sales, price or operational history, for example — and add market data where it is relevant. At the start, we assess its quality and choose methods that fit the problem.
Does a forecast give an exact figure?
No. A forecast is most useful when you also know its limits: we show the expected value, the factors behind it and the uncertainty around it — with confidence bands, for example, as in Rawdar.
Which decisions can it support?
Decisions on demand, pricing and operations: how much to produce or buy, how to adjust prices, or where to look when an indicator drifts.
How far ahead do you forecast?
From the short term up to a year ahead, depending on the decision. In Rawdar, commodity price forecasts go up to 6 months ahead.
